Course Title: Forklift Evaluator (# 800.300)

Prerequisites: The desire to operate a forklift properly.

Course Length and Maximum Class Size:

4 Classroom hours given in one session plus demonstration of skills on the forklift most used, Maximum class size is 20. 

Objective:

Attendees should leave with a working knowledge concerning the safe operation of powered industrial forklifts.

Content:

This course teaches the proper operating procedures for a variety of equipment, including electric, LP gas, and pallet trucks. Pre-trip inspections, steering techniques, and load handling are covered. Hazards, such as pedestrians, floor surfaces, and stopping are included. Other areas of instruction are battery recharging, refueling, and maintenance schedules.

Those needing OSHA required training for the operation of forklifts.
