Course Title: Carpentry Layout        

Prerequisites: Builders Math 1 (707.000), Measurements 1 (708.000), and Basic Plan Reading (709.000)

Course Length and Maximum Class Size:

12 Classroom hours held in (4) 3-hour sessions.  Maximum class size is 20.

Objective:

Successful participants will be able to use a framing square and related tools to lay out walls and ceiling joists.

Content:

1.     Use of framing square, rule, and hand level

2.     Identification of framing materials

3.     Lay out walls and ceilings

Beneficial to:

Those who wish to qualify as construction carpenters.
