Course Title: Carpentry – Basic Skills

Prerequisites: Builders Math 1 (707.000) and Measurements 1 (708.000)

Course Length and Maximum Class Size:

12 Classroom hours held in (4) 3 hour sessions.  Maximum class size is 20.

Objective:

Successful participants will be able to demonstrate basic carpentry skills by using the proper tools to construct a framing assembly.

Content:

1.     Identification and use of tools

2.     Identification of terms and definitions used in carpentry

3.     Construction of framing components

Beneficial to:

Those who wish to qualify as construction carpenters.
