Course Title: Basic Plan Reading     

Prerequisites: Builders Math 1 (707.000) and Measurements 1 (708.000)

Course Length and Maximum Class Size:

8 Classroom hours held in (4) 2-hour sessions.  Maximum class size is 20.

Objective:

Participants will be able to read building plans and be able to read and use an architect’s scale.

Content:

1.     Terms, symbols, and drafting systems used on construction drawings

2.     Reading,  purpose, and use of written specifications

Beneficial to:

Those  interested in qualifying as construction carpenters or working in other construction related crafts.
