48 Classroom hours given in (16) 3 hour sessions. Maximum class size is 6.

  • Shielding gases and their uses

  • Common weld mistakes

  • Characteristics of a good weld

  • Types of power sources

  • Set up and shut down GMAW equipment

  • Make fillet weld

  • Make full penetration weld

  • Make plug weld

  • Welding practice

  • Weld testing
