Course Title:
Intro
to AutoCAD
Prerequisites: Understanding
of Windows
Course Length and Maximum Class Size:
36 Classroom hours held in (12) 3-hour sessions.
Maximum class size is 16.
Objective:
Introduction to
AutoCAD will provide the skills needed to create a basic 2D drawing using
editing tools, to organize objects using layers, to plan for efficient
construction techniques, to add text and basic dimensions, and to prepare for
plotting. The course is divided
into two parts, the first presenting essential skills and the second covering
more sophisticated techniques for drawing setup and productivity.
Beneficial to:
The
course is designed for beginning AutoCAD users who are familiar with
computers, but have not taken a computer-drafting course.
Participants should
be familiar with basic computer skills, such as Windows and file
management.
Equipment Needed for Instruction:
Computer Lab & software provided
projector, plotter.
