Course Title: Leadership and the One Minute Manager

Prerequisites: None

Course Length and Maximum Class Size:

8 Classroom hours held in (1) 8-hour session. Maximum class size is 25.

Objective:

Participants will be exposed to a framework that helps leaders develop language skills that enable them to talk to the people they manage about what they need from their leader in order to be good performers.

Content:

  1. The three skills of a situational leader.
  2. The four leadership styles
  1. Directing
  2. Coaching
  3. Supporting
  4. Delegating
  1. How to diagnose appropriate behavior based on the situation.
  2. When styles match: the benefits, and when they don’t: the consequences.

Beneficial to:

Managers, leaders, and first time supervisors.
