Course Title:          How to Manage Maintenance

 Prerequisites:   None

Course Length and Maximum Class Size:

          15 Classroom hours held in (5) 3-hour session. Maximum class size is 25.

Objective:

To focus on the important roles maintenance and maintenance management play in determining how productive and profitable a company can be.  Participants will learn the vital aspects of maintenance-organizational structure, the maintenance budget, control systems, inventory, maintenance support groups, planning and scheduling, training, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems

(CMMS). 

Content:

1.      Bringing leadership and proven management techniques to the maintenance manager's role

2.      Reducing maintenance backlog, control costs, reducing maintenance inventory and stockouts

3.      Increasing maintenance productivity, establishing preventive programs, assuring the vitality of the plant's equipment, extending equipment uptime, and improving customer satisfaction

4.      Motivating the workforce and wisely using available information resources

5.      Developing an appropriate maintenance budget which makes allowances for unforeseen emergencies

6.      Installing a Computerized Maintenance Management System to increase scheduling efficiency and productivity
